Cookie policy
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used at shop.discobi.com, what each of them does, how long it lasts, and how you can change your choice at any time.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies, such as local storage, keep data in your browser in the same way. Both are used here, and this policy covers them together as “cookies”.
2. Necessary cookies
These are required for the shop to work at all. They cannot be turned off through the consent banner, because without them there is no basket, no sign-in and no protection against forged requests. They are not used for advertising.

3. Analytics and advertising cookies
These are set only if you accept them in the consent banner. Until you do, they are not set, and the shop works exactly the same without them.

Google acts as a separate controller for the data collected through these cookies. Their own terms are set out in the Google privacy policy.
If you choose “Only necessary”, no analytics or advertising cookies are placed and no identifier is stored. Google may still receive an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was opened; it carries no identifier and cannot be linked to you or to any other visit.
4. Signing in with Google
If you use the “Sign in with Google” button, Google sets cookies on its own domain to show you which of your Google accounts you are signing in with. They are set only when you use that button, they are necessary for it to work, and this shop cannot read them.
Google’s script also writes one cookie here, on our own domain: g_state, which it uses to remember that you were asked to sign in. We do not use it for anything and we delete it again as soon as the page loads, so it should not survive on your machine. Signing in by e-mail link instead avoids all of this entirely.
5. Payment providers
Payment is completed on the websites of Stripe and PayPal, not here. When you are sent to them to pay, they set their own cookies on their own domains, chiefly to prevent fraud. Those cookies are covered by their policies and not by this one, and this shop cannot read them.
6. Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your answer at any time. Your choice is remembered for 180 days, after which you will be asked once more.
You can also delete cookies and local storage, or block them altogether, in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary cookies listed in section 2 will stop the basket and sign-in from working.
7. Changes to this policy
If the cookies used here change, this page is updated before the change takes effect. The date below says when it was last revised.
