Discobi Records

Return policy

This policy applies to all orders placed at shop.discobi.com by consumers in the European Union. It covers two separate rights: the right to withdraw from an order within 14 days, and the right to a remedy where a record does not match its description.

1. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you, take physical possession of the goods.

Where an order is delivered in several parcels, the period runs from the day the last parcel is received.

2. How to withdraw

To exercise this right, inform us of your decision by a clear statement sent to info@discobi.com, quoting your order number.

To meet the deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.

3. Returning the goods

You must send the goods back without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you notify us of your withdrawal. We will provide the return address by e-mail when you notify us.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Goods must be packed so that they are not damaged in transit: records should be returned with card stiffeners in a rigid cardboard mailer.

4. Refunds

We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the standard delivery costs of the original order, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

Refunds are made using the same means of payment used for the original transaction. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is the earlier.

5. Condition of returned goods

You may handle and play a record to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way as you would be allowed to in a shop.

You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond this. Where a returned record shows damage that was not present when it was sent — for example scuffs, a split sleeve seam or ring wear — the refund may be reduced accordingly.

6. Exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed audio recordings that have been unsealed after delivery. A sealed record that remains sealed may be returned under section 1 in the normal way.

Listings state clearly when a record is sold sealed.

7. Goods not as described

Where a record does not correspond to the condition grade or description given in its listing, this is a matter of conformity and not of withdrawal. Your statutory rights apply and the 14-day period in section 1 does not limit them.

Contact info@discobi.com with your order number and photographs of the record and its sleeve. You may choose either a full refund, including both outward and return postage, or a partial refund reflecting the actual condition of the record.

8. Condition grading

All records are graded individually using the Discogs grading standard, and the grade forms part of the description. Surface noise, light marks and sleeve wear consistent with the stated grade do not constitute a defect under section 7. Such records may still be returned under the right of withdrawal in section 1.
